Offseason 2008: Dodgers Sign Two Infielders

The Dodgers solidified third base and added some depth to the rest of the infield in the last few days by signing veterans Casey Blake and Mark Loretta to deals.

Loretta's deal, pending a physical, is a one-year deal believed to be about $1.4 million.

Blake's deal is a three year deal worth $17.5 million, with a team option for a fourth year (the fourth year would be worth $6 million and comes with a $1.25 million buyout).

I'll have analysis on the deals shortly.

Update: Loretta's deal is official, 1 year, $1.25 million.
