The Dodgers won their season opener yesterday beating the Padres 4-1 and showed a little bit of everything that should make us good this year.
James Loney went 3-4 with a couple RBIs, Matt Kemp smashed a solo homerun in 7th, and Hiroki Kuroda held the Padres to one run for 5.2 innings.Pretty nice.
Add to that Rafael Furcal and Andre Ethier collecting two hits a piece, and the Dodger bullpen going 3.1 scoreless innings in relief.
Even better.
So, overall, not a bad start to the season.
Oh yeah, did I mention we beat Jake Peavy?
That does make it that much sweeter.
